Dear Keahiloa,

We were so grateful to have stayed at Pono-Loa.  Thank you for sharing your vacation home with us. The location was perfect for us to visit with family on the island but also be able to explore on our own.  Kaaawa is a great community in itself, close to great beaches, parks, north shore destinations such as Sharks Cove, Polynesian Cultural Center and far from the crowds.  It was right where we wanted to be.  The house was comfortable, full of aloha and well stocked with everything we needed and more. We loved how fast the tradewinds would cool off the house once we came home and opened the jalousies! And of course waking up to the roosters' sound was classic Hawaii!  We look forward to our next stay at Pono-Loa!

Much aloha,

Aloha Keahiloa,

Mahalo again for everything, we had a great time, the house was impeccable, we loved Kaaawa.  We even got to climb the mountain behind to check out the view from up there.  We will recommend it to everyone.

Talk to you soon, Simone

Hi Keahiloa,

Just wanted to say "thanks again" one more time!  My newlywed wife and I really enjoyed your beautiful house.  It was the perfect place for us following our wedding.  We especially appreciated the thoughtful welcome gifts of beverages and snacks.  Wanted to also let you know that several of our relatives came to visit and they plan to call you about renting the house for future vacations.

thank you again and a "BIG MAHALO" for your gracious hospitality!

Aloha Keahiloa,

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your wonderful vacation house.  It was exactly what we hoped for.  So good to spend time back home.  The experience at your home brought so much aloha spirit to our family.  The location was perfect for us.  I forgot how many wild chickens were on the island... kinda like pigeons on the mainland.  Anyways, waking up to the crowing roosters on some days brought back some childhood memories.

Aloha Keahiloa,

We loved Pono-Loa!  Our daughter from California and her husband joined us and they both loved the place too.  They said that they would definitely stay there if they came back to Hawai'i.  We couldn't believe how well everything was stocked - bedding, bathroom supplies, etc.  My husband who loves to cook was really impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked.  The kids had fun with the snorkeling gear and boogie boards.  The only thing that was a bother was the early crowing of the roosters, but there's not much you can do about that.  We understand completely as they are all over Hawaii.  My son-in-law figured out a quick fix though... he bought a pair of ear plugs which worked for him.

Again, thank you for letting us share your lovely home and we hope that things continue to go well for you.

Aloha Keahiloa,

We have just returned from a fabulous time on Oahu. I wanted to thank you for the use of your vacation home, Pono-Loa. With all the amenities provided it was as comfortable as being at home. It was great being out of the hustle and bustle of town, but close enough to be there if we chose to go.

Thank you again for sharing your piece of paradise with us, Martin and Marilyn

Aloha Keahiloa,

We had a beautiful trip and the home was just that..a home.  Having my family all together after so many years was such a blessing.  Waking up to roosters proudly crowing, flower essences, and a thousand bird symphony every morning gives new meaning to the word paradise.

Aloha Keahiloa,
Again, we would like to say thanks for the hospitality.  The house was great, and the location was perfect compared to the business of other areas on the island.  My family had a great time, and our friends enjoyed the relaxation as well.  My wife enjoyed Ka'a'awa Beach Park the best.  It was very calm, and she and I got to relax while the kids enjoyed the small ocean pool.  The house was the perfect size for our party, and was  very comfortable.  The neighbors were friendly and the area was just breathtaking.

Aloha Keahiloa,

Our vacation was awesome!  The location of your house was perfect.  It was away from the city, but still close to the places we wanted to go!  The house was so nice for the four of us.  We each had our own place to sleep and had time to ourselves.  We did some cooking, so the kitchen and its amenities were nice to have.  The house was in a good area where we felt safe.  The washer and dyer were also well used and very helpful with keeping the towels clean.

We were able to do a lot of different things.  We went skydiving on our first day there and that was a blast! Highly recommend Sky Diving Hawaii on North Shore!  We also were able to hit the Dole Plantation, Pearl Harbor, the swap meet, the jumping rock, Polynesian Cultural Center and Kualoa Ranch.  We were able to go to various beaches and relax or do some snorkeling... Electric beach is amazing!  We went scuba diving down to the Tiger Shark Wreck off Waikīkī.  The beaches were beautiful and the weather was awesome.  One of the best places we ate ate was right next to Matsumoto's Shaved Ice place on North Shore.  It was a Thai place and it was delicious!   Also Bubba Gump in the WaikīkīMall was a lot of fun to eat at as well.  Thanks so much for all of your help.   Our trip was amazing!

Aloha Keahiloa,
We had a great time and enjoyed the house.  We had a lot of friends rent housing in Hau'ula but I feel we got the better place.  It felt more like home.  The kitchen was very well stocked with equipment.  Thank you so much, and if you ever come to Oregon maybe we could do a house swap!
